Automatic installation is the easiest option as WordPress handles the file transfers itself and you don’t need to leave your web browser.
The steps are as follows:
- Log into your WordPress dashboard. Navigate to the Plugins menu and click Add New.
- Click on the Upload Plugin button.
- Click on the Browse button and navigate to the downloaded Advanced Coupons for WooCommerce Zip file and click OK.
Most importantly, you can install it by simply clicking Install Now
The manual installation of the plugin is another option to install the extension to your WordPress environment. The manual installation method involves downloading our Advanced Coupons for WooCommerce plugin and uploading it to your web server via your favorite FTP application.
The steps are as follows:
- Extract the downloaded Advanced Coupons for WooCommerce Zip file.
- Upload the Advanced Coupons for WooCommerce folder to the /wp-content/plugins/directory.
- Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress.
When you’ve activated the plugin from the Plugin menu of the WordPress dashboard, the next step is to enable the plugin and configure its settings as per your requirements.
- Go to the MakeWebBetter tab in the left panel of your WordPress dashboard.
- Click on Advanced Coupons for WooCommerce.
- Next, the window appears on your screen with 2 tabs – Overview & License
- Go to License tab > Add Purchase Code > Click on Validate.
- Next, the plugin dashboard will appear with 4 sections (shown in the image below) –
- General Settings

- System Status
The General Settings section includes all the feature settings options for you to configure the plugin functionality as per your requirements.
1. Enable Plugin
Toggle the button to the right to enable the plugin functionality on your WooCommerce Store.
2. Reset License
If you have an updated License code and you wish to reset it, enable this setting and deactivate the plugin. Then, later when you’ll reactivate it, you can update the license key there.
3 Enable First Order Coupon Setting
If you want to allow coupons to your customers on their first order, tick on the checkbox against the setting.
4 Discount Type
This feature setting allows you to set the discount type for advanced coupons you’re offering to your customers. This setting includes three discount options –
- Fixed Discount on Cart Subtotal
- Percentage Discount on Cart
- Fixed Discount on Selected Products
5 Enter Coupon Length
Coupons Length feature setting allows you to select the numeric length of your coupon code by entering the digit between 1-10 only.
6 Enter Coupon Expiry
With this setting, you can set the coupon expiry limit, i.e., the number of days after which coupons will expire from the day of coupon generation.
7 Enter Normal Coupon Amount
This setting allows you to enter the coupon amount value for the coupons that are generated on selected products only.
8 Enable To Generate Coupon For Selected Products
Enable this setting if you want to generate coupons for each selected item only.
9.Select Products You Want To Generate Coupons
Select the list of products from all your existing products to generate coupons
10 Enable To Show Coupons On Cart, And My Account Page
If you want to show generated coupons on your WooCommerce store’s cart page or customer’s my account page, select this checkbox.
11 Enter Coupon Usage Limit
This feature setting allows you to enter the number of times a single coupon can be reused.
12 Enable To Allow Users To Click And Apply Coupons On Cart
If you want to allow auto-application of coupons on cart, select this checkbox.
13 Enable Email Notification
This feature setting of the Advanced Coupons plugin allows you(as admin) to send an email to your customers to notify them of coupon generation.
14 Background Color Picker For Coupon
Using this setting, you can customize the background color of your coupon. Just click on the color bar and select the color of your choice.
15 Color Picker For Coupon Font
Using this setting, you can customize your coupon’s font color. Click on the color bar and select the color of your choice.
16 Enable Email Restriction For Coupons
Check this feature setting to enable email restrictions for your users/customers.
17 Payments Methods
This setting allows you to select the payment methods for which coupon can be applied.
18 Shipping Methods
If you have multiple shipping facilities, you can select the shipping method to apply coupons from this setting.
19 Allow User Roles
This feature setting allows you to enable coupon application for specific user roles only.
20 Select Particular Categories You Want To Exclude
This feature setting allows you to select the product categories that you want to exclude from coupon applications.
21 Select Products You Want To Exclude From Coupon
This feature setting allows you to select the list of products that you want to exclude from the coupon application.
22 Enable Separate Use Of Coupon
This setting allows you to restrict the individual use of coupons. Enabling this setting, the customers cannot use coupons in conjunction with other offers.
Once, all your setting are configured as per the requirements, click on “Save Settings” button to save the changes.
3.2. Import Coupons
The Import Coupons setting includes settings to import bulk coupon codes or export coupon codes.
1 Import Users Coupons
To import coupon codes, make sure you have them saved in a CSV file format.
- Click on the “Choose File” button.
- Select the coupon codes file from your system and click OK
Click on the Import button to import the coupon code file.
To export coupon details from your WooCommerce store, click on Export CSV.
4.Add Coupon Settings
After the plugin is configured, the next step is to generate coupons.
- Go to the Marketing tab in the left panel of your WordPress dashboard.
- Click on Coupons > Add Coupon.
- Enter coupon code manually or click on Generate Coupon Code.
- Add a description to your coupon.

Yes, We have this feature in our plugin where the admin can add the coupon expiry time. Go to the plugin settings>> General settings>> Enter Coupon Expiry. Add the expiry date here and click on Save.
