MWB Shipping Rates for WooCommerce is a plugin that estimates shipping rates based on the order’s total weight, the total price of all goods in the basket, different product categories, and other factors.
MWB Shipping Rates For WooCommerce collects real-time shipping rates from a variety of carriers, calculates them based on the customer’s location, product category, weight, price, and the number of goods, and displays them on your WooCommerce Cart and Checkout pages.  This plugin makes it simple for your customers to access multiple shipping rates, along with offering-

2.Installation

Automatic Installation

When it comes to automated installation, WordPress is the most user-friendly. To do so, all you have to do is-

  • Using your username and password, log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
  • Then navigate to Plugins > Add New in the left panel of your dashboard.
  • At the top of the page, click the Upload Plugin button.
  • Select the MWB Shipping Rates for WooCommerce.zip file from the Choose File menu, then push Install Now.
  • Activate the plugin after it has been successfully installed.

Manual Installation

Another alternative for installing the plugin in your WordPress system is to do it manually. 

The manual installation phase comprises downloading and uploading the MWB Shipping Rates for the WooCommerce plugin to the webserver using their preferred FTP client.

  • In the /WP-content/plugins/directory, upload the MWB Shipping Rates for the WooCommerce folder.
  • To activate the plugin, go to the Plugins menu in WordPress.
  • That is all there is to it.

3.How do you Set Up the Plugin Backend?

After installing the plugin now it’s time to set up the plugin’s backend, for that you need to just-

Just navigate to your WordPress Dashboard > MWB Shipping Rates for WooCommerce.

And you’ll be redirected to the General Settings tab of the plugin backend. Let see what’s there-

3.1.General Settings

The general settings tab consists of two options majorly to set up the shipping rates backend they are-

Enable Plugin

This toggle button option lets you enable the plugin functionality within your site. As soon as you Activate the plugin this toggle option automatically switches on and enables the shipping rates functionality within your plugin.

Visibility

The visibility toggle setting helps you enable the shipping method display for logged-in users only at the frontend. You can easily enable or disable the logged-in user from the shipping methods display using this option.

3.2.System Status

This tab of the plugin allows you to see the system status values and variables so that you can properly set up the plugin. The above tab displays the current state of your system, as well as lists of all WP and system variables.

It is solely for displaying information; it does not contain any options for the WooCommerce Shipping Rates plugin.

After setting up the plugin backend, now it’s time to proceed further with the custom Shipping rates settings, let’s proceed-

4.How do you Create Custom Shipping Rates?

In order to create custom shipping rates for your WooCommerce products, you need to navigate towards your WordPress Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings.

After navigating towards the settings page and it, therefore, opens a popup Add Shipping Method page. Select MWB Shipping Plugin from the dropdown menu and hit Add Shipping Method to proceed further.

After that, you’re redirected to the Shipping Methods page. And select the MWB Shipping Rates plugin from the list and hit the Edit option.

Note: If you want to delete your created shipping method, just hit the Delete option and proceed further. You can create one or more Shipping Methods using the Add Shipping Method button.

5.MWB Shipping Rates Options

As you hit the Edit option for the MWB Shipping Rates method and you’ll be redirected towards the Shipping Rates option page for further settings in order to create shipping methods.

This page consists of many setting options for you, let us proceed further and start creating them-

Default

This checkbox-enabled setting option present on this page lets you set up the particular shipping rule that you’re setting up as your default shipping option for further orders.

Just check the box and there you go. The shipping option would become the default shipping option for the order from now on.

Enable General Charge

This is also a check box-enabled setup option available for the shipping rated edit section. This option lets you enable the general shipping charges over the orders. Just check the box and there you go with this setting.

Shipping Title

This setting option available in this section lets you define the custom name for your Shipping Method instead of MWB Shipping Rates. You may give your delivery method any name you like to make it easy to identify while also making it unique.

Shipping Cost

This setting option present on the page lets you set up your general shipping cost for the orders which can be in action thereafter in order to continue with further orders.

You can set up the general shipping cost rates as per your preferences and requirements in the box given beside.

Tax Status

This setting option lets you set up the taxation criteria for your WooCommerce orders. This option consists of a dropdown with two setting options i.e. Not Taxable and Taxable

You can select among the two options as per your ease and make your products under tax regulations or free from them. 

Expected delivery Date

This option lets you enter the expected delivery date based on the number of days entered in the box.

You are just required to enter the number of days and the expected delivery date would be defined accordingly.

Note: Suppose you’ve entered 2 days as your expected delivery date, then the delivery date for the orders placed would be set as per the difference of two days from the date of order placed automatically.

Till here, all the setting options available in the Shipping Rates Edit page are for general purpose shipping rates. In order to have more advanced shipping rates set up, you need to move forward with us with the other options here.

Let’s discuss them-

5.1.Free Shipping Options

The Free Shipping option is the initial setting to make in order to build a more advanced shipping rates choice.

In order to avail the features of the Free Shipping option available here or just to set them up just you need to check the Free Shipping checkbox and enable the conditional free shipping for your WooCommerce orders.

This option includes further set up options like-

Pre Discount Price

This option lets you set up the free shipping option over the pre-discounted price of that product.

For example: If you’ve purchased products of about a sum of amount that technically grants the free shipping option but as you’ve applied another discount coupon on your order and purchase cost reduced making you ineligible for the free shipping option.

For such cases, in order to let customers avail free shipping along with their additional discounts this option is beneficial. This option considers the pre-discounted price of your orders and lets them avail themselves of free shipping.

Just check the option out and there you go with your pre-discounted option setup. 

Free shipping Based On

This option enables you to avail of the Free Shipping option based on the condition based on the specified option available in the dropdown option given here. 

This option allows you two different options for this i.e. Minimum Order and Shipping Option. Just choose the option from the dropdown and avail free shipping based on that.

Free Shipping Title

This option lets you enter the Free Shipping method title. Enter a unique yet different title for your Free shipping method and save to continue. 

Free Shipping Amount

This option lets you enter the minimum amount in favor of the Free Shipping option available in this Free shipping setting for your WooCommerce orders in the store. Enter amount as per your preference in this box and save to make it in action.

5.2.Advanced Shipping Options

As the name states i.e. advanced, it is indeed an advanced option to set up all your Shipping Rates scrutinies in place. 

Just check the box and it let you enable the advanced shipping setting for your WooCommerce orders.

Include General Shipping Charges

This is the checkbox-based setup option that lets you include the general shipping rates along with the applied advance custom shipping rates.

So, if you want to add general shipping charges and advance shipping changes on products then check this box else avoid the option.

Category Wise Shipping

This setting option lets you set up category-based shipping rates for your WooCommerce product orders. You can choose the category and set up the specified shipping rates for the following that too as per your ease.

Shipping Charge by Categories Wise

This is a dropdown-based setting option available to generate the category shipping rates rule. You can easily pick the categories out and set up the charges, this option consists of a list of almost all categories available in your WooCommerce store.

Just choose and save to proceed.

This option lets you enter the shipping rate based on the selection of your preferable categories selected. Just enter the shipping amount for selected categories per quantity-wise in the box and hit save to make that in action.

5.3.Weight Range Shipping

This setting option lets you define the shipping rates for your WooCommerce store depending on the weight range rule. 

In other words, this option enables the store owner to define the shipping charges based on the total weight of the cart (i.e. of the products added) at the time of checkout.

Note: Products that are defined with weight in their description can be applied within this shipping rates rule well. 

In order to enable the weight range shipping rates to rule, you are just required to check this Apply Weight Range Rule checkbox.

Maximum Weight (Kg.)

This option is with respect to the Weight Range Shipping Rule. You can enter the maximum weight of the cart on which the shipping charge would be applied.

Minimum Weight (Kg.) 

This option is with respect to the Weight Range Shipping Rule. You can enter the minimum weight of the cart on which the shipping charge is applied.

Charge Weight Wise

This option lets you assign a certain amount of shipping charge for the specified weight of the cart that you’ve entered in the above-listed options.

Note: In case you only want to specify a minimum or the maximum weight of your cart in order to assign shipping rates, then just uncheck the Apply Weight Range Rule option and enter your preferred minimum or maximum weight and set shipping rates for the same.

But, in case you want to create a range-like option for the weight of the cart in order to determine the shipping charge, then enter both the maximum and minimum weight of the cart along with the price and check the Apply Weight Range Rule option. And there you go, now your shipping charges would be calculated within a weight ranging from your max to min weight specified criteria.

5.4.Price Range Shipping

This setting option lets you define the shipping rates for your WooCommerce store depending on the price range rule. 

In other words, this option enables the store owner to define the shipping charges based on the total price of the cart (i.e. of the products added) at the time of checkout.

In order to enable the price range shipping rates to rule, you are just required to check this Apply Price Range Rule checkbox.

Maximum PriceThis option is with respect to the Price Range Shipping Rule. You can enter the maximum expected price for the cart on which the shipping charge would be applied.

This option is with respect to the Price Range Shipping Rule. You can enter the minimum expected price for the cart on which the shipping charge is applied.

This option lets you assign a certain amount of shipping charge for the specified expected total price of the cart that you’ve entered in the above-listed options.

Note: In case you only want to specify a minimum or the maximum total price of your cart in order to assign shipping rates, then just uncheck the Apply Price Range Rule option and enter your preferred minimum or maximum expected total price for your cart and set shipping rates for the same.

But, in case you want to create a range-like option for the total price of the cart in order to determine the shipping charge, then enter both the maximum and minimum expected total price for your cart along with the custom shipping price and check the Apply Price Range Rule option. And there you go, now your shipping charges would be calculated within a price ranging from your max to min expected total cart price specified criteria.

5.5.Volume Range Shipping

This setting option lets you define the shipping rates for your WooCommerce store depending on the volume range rule. 

In other words, this option enables the store owner to define the shipping charges based on the total volume of the cart (i.e. of the products added) at the time of checkout.

Note: Products that are defined with dimensions in their description can have volume as their feature and can be applied within the shipping rates rule well. 

In order to enable the price range shipping rates to rule, you are just required to check this Apply Volume Range Rule checkbox.

Maximum Volume (cm3)

This option is with respect to the Volume Range Shipping Rule. You can enter the maximum expected volume for the cart on which the shipping charge would be applied.

Minimum Volume (cm3)

This option is with respect to the Volume Range Shipping Rule. You can enter the minimum expected volume for the cart on which the shipping charge is applied.

Charge Volume-Wise

This option lets you assign a certain amount of shipping charge for the specified expected total volume of the cart that you’ve entered in the above-listed options.

Note: In case you only want to specify either a minimum or the maximum total volume of your cart in order to assign shipping rates, then just uncheck the Apply Volume Range Rule option and enter your preferred minimum or maximum total volume for your cart and set shipping rates for the same.

But, in case you want to create a range-like option for the total volume of the cart in order to determine the shipping charge, then enter both the maximum and minimum total volume for your cart along with the custom shipping price and check the Apply Volume Range Rule option. And there you go, now your shipping charges would be calculated within a price ranging from your max to min expected total cart volume specified criteria.
