* Automatic Installation
                      Automatic installation is the easiest option as WordPress handles the file transfers itself and you don’t need to leave your web browser.

The steps are as follows:

  1. Purchase the plugin from the MakeWebBetter site
  2. Go to Add New plugin and click on “Upload Plugin”
  3.  Upload the plugin and click on the “Install” button.
  4. “Activate” the plugin once installed


* Manual Installation
                      Manual installation of the plugin is another option to install the plugin to your WordPress environment. The manual installation method involves uploading the Wishlist for WooCommerce Pro extension to your web server via your favorite FTP application.

The steps are as follows:

  1. Upload the Wishlist for WooCommerce Pro folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugin’ menu in WordPress.

After the activation, a new menu with the name “Wishlist for WooCommerce” is added to your WordPress side menu.

3.Plugin Panel Options

The “Wishlist for WooCommerce Pro” main menu contains nine options. The first and last are meant for knowledge purposes.The middle seven contains different setting options. The menus are:

3.1.Overview

This menu contains general information about the Wishlist for WooCommerce Pro plugin for the users to get an idea of what this plugin is all about and what it can do to manage your wishlist process.

It gives a quick idea of the top features of the plugin.

3.2.General Settings

All the general settings options listed below are shown.

  • Enable/Disable: You can enable or disable the wishlist plugin by setting this toggle button accordingly. Save after making the changes.

     

  • Enable Wishlist Popup: The wishlist popup can be enabled or disabled by clicking on the toggle button in the setting. Save the changes you make.

When enabled, the popup notifications show up every time a product is added to the wishlist. The popup has the option of “Buy Now”, “View Wishlist” and “Cancel” popup, which the users can click as per their convenience.

 

  • Wishlist Position and View: With this setting option, you can decide whether you want an icon over the products or a button for adding a new product to the wishlist.

The plugin offers two view types; Icon and button. And, we will see both of these below. 

From the drop-down menu in the “Wishlist View Type”, select “Icon Over Product Page“. Now, below this, you will see the option “Wishlist Interface Icon” from where you can select the icon you want.

How Do Customers see it?

The image below shows how the heart icon appears on the product images after the respective backend settings are made and saved. The added products have red-colored icons while the non-added products are dull black.

If you want a button instead of an icon, select “Add to Wishlist Button” from the “Wishlist View Type“.

Two new options appear below it. Both the options allow you to select the position where you want the “Add to Wishlist” button to appear.

 

Wishlist on Product Page” allows you to select the location of the “Add to Wishlist” button on the specific product page.

The available options are:

  • Before Add to Cart Button
  • After Add to Cart Button
  • Before Product Title
  • After Product Title
  • After Product Price

 

Wishlist on Loops“, allows you to select the position of buttons on pages where products are present in list form (buttons appear in loops for different products on the same page).

The available options are:

  • Before Product Title 
  • After Product Title
  • Before Add to Cart Button
  • Before Product Section

 

How Do Customers See it?

The image below shows how the “Add To Wishlist” button appears for Wishlist on product listing (loops) after selecting it before the product title.

 

  • Wishlist Page: The plugin automatically adds a page to your WooCommerce store, and with the help of shortcode [mwb_wfw_wishlist], the page shows all the details of the product details added to the wishlist, in a well-framed table format.

    Further, to show wishlist details on any other custom page, the admin can paste the shortcode [mwb_wfw_wishlist] and the same table appears on that page as well.

Once you have made all the desired changes on the General Tab, Click on the “Save” button to save all the settings.

 

3.3.Social Sharing

The “Wishlist for WooCommerce Pro” plugin has a feature that allows users to share their built wishlist on social media such as Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter, and Pinterest.

The admin can set the size of the social media icons, enable and disable a particular social media option and set the color they want. By default, the color is set to the original color of the respective social media.

3.4.Performance Setting

The “Wishlist for WooCommerce Pro” plugin tracks the wishlist-related aspects of buyer’s behavior and presents the details in the performance analytics panel in a well-arranged table format.

The plugin collects product ID, the title of the wishlist, added products, created date, modified date, owner name, status, collaborators, and properties. This data becomes your marketing and retargeting strength. 

3.5.Rest API

Click on the “Generate API Key” to generate the keys.

3.6.Automated Emails

Wishlist for WooCommerce Pro allows the admin to set emails that will be automatically sent to the buyers who recently added new products to the wishlist and have not taken any purchase action. 

 Admin can set the hours after which the email will be sent, and also set the message that will be sent in the email.

Click on the “SAVE SETTINGS” to save all the settings.

3.7. Instock Emails

This wishlist plugin has a smart feature that allows merchants to take orders even for out-of-stock products. With this feature, any out-of-stock products added to the wishlist will have an automatic email ready to send to the customers when the product is back in stock.

Admin can set the message in the setting shown below.

Once the message is written, click on “SAVE INSTOCK MESSAGE” to save the setting.

3.8.License
